Scooby

Scooby is approximately 1 1/2 - 2 years old in these pictures taken December 8, 2007. He was found by a lady on the side of the road. She took him to the vet because she thought he had been shot. He had a big whole in him. The vet couldn't tell for sure if had been but she couldn't rule it out. After a few days at the vet, the lady picked Scooby up and as she was driving home with him, he jumped out of the car window. She couldn't catch him. After a few days he found his way to her house. Such a smart dog.

Scooby is sweet and loving but we are not recommending him with small children as he does want to nip when we try to brush him so we are uncertain what he would do if a child pulled on his ear or something. He doesn't mind being held or carried though. Does well on a leash too.

Scooby does climb a regular chain link fence. He has gotten away from us several times. So he will need to go to a home with a 6 ft fence. Once Scooby gets out he is gone in a flash. He is very hard to find and has been gone for hours.

May 30, 2008 - UPDATE:
We believe that Scooby and his buddy, Trevor, are housebroken as they do not do anything in the kennel they share. He and Trevor are best buddies and love to play with each other. Scooby has settled down a lot and loves for people to give him lots of attention. He also does not mind being brushed and we believe him trying to nip when he first came in to LP when we tried to brush him out was because he was so frightened coming into a new place with lots of barking dogs. Just a SUPER DUPER dog!
