Scooby

My name is Scooby and I have been waiting for a very long time for a family. I’m not the first dog who catches your eye when you come to the shelter but I’m really very special. I get discouraged sometimes because I so want to be adopted. The staff and volunteers at the shelter love me but it’s not the same as having your own family. I am a female, Doberman mix. Yes, even though my name is Scooby, I’m a girl. However, you could call me a tomboy; I love to play and rough-house with the boys! I came to the shelter after having been tied up outside for long periods of time. I was very shy at first but have really grown to trust my humans here. I get so excited on walks that I sometimes pull on the leash but once I settle down, I’m very easy to walk. I recently went on an outing with some friends for the day. I hung out with other dogs, children and lots of grownups outside the coffee shop in Granville. I was a perfect lady and on my best and sweetest behavior. I did well in the car and everyone said what a nice girl I was. I rolled in the straw while the photographer was trying to photograph me. I thought it made me look for beautiful!!
