My Story

Schnapps is a wonderful black and tan Doberman pup with natural ears and a docked tail. He was given up when his owner lost his home. Schnapps is initially a bit shy, but warms up quickly. He gets along with other dogs both male and female and we think he can learn to live with cats as well. Schnapps was probably born around September of 2007 and he is very much a puppy that needs time, some exercise and training. X-rays show that young Schnapps has hip dysplasia: mild in one hip and moderate in the other. At this time, he only needs joint supplements. Some time in the future, depending upon his activity level, he may need arthritis pain medication. Schnapps should be about medium-sized for a male Doberman when fully grown. He has a medium energy level and he is very sweet--easy relative to most male Doberman pups! Schnapps would make a wonderful companion for someone that thinks a walk around the block is enuugh exercise!
