SAVVY (AKA TOTO) - FOSTERED IN MAINE

Caleb’s Opus is happy to welcome back our Toto! SAVVY (AKA TOTO) is a Mini-Elk Hound Mix who came to Caleb’s Opus in March 2024 as a 5lb bundle of fur. He and his 3 siblings were dumped out in the country, in rural Mississippi, at approximately FOUR weeks old. We don’t know how they survived being in the field but they did and made their way to our Southern Partner for the love and care they needed along with a ticket to Maine (couple of pictures included). In April 2024, SAVVY (AKA TOTO) was adopted. Unfortunately, SAVVY’s new owner is now experiencing health issues that required her to return him to us. It’s heartbreaking for them and us as they have lived the last four months always together. Savvy is a smart, sweet, curious, even-tempered boy who loves and needs another dog to play with. He is currently in a foster home with six other dogs, of all sizes, that he really enjoys romping around with. He also loves people but needs a slow start to begin because everything is so new. SAVVY (AKA TOTO) is very food motivated so working with him on training has been easy. He is crate trained for sleeping at night and taking naps. He usually will let you know if he needs to go outside to do his business. He also likes to cuddle and know where you are there. SAVVY (TOTO) is almost seven months old, he does still have energy so a fenced in yard or a couple of walks a day is something he would love. He is on the shorter side and weighs approximately 35lbs.
