Ahem...I would like to introduce myself if I may. I am the awesome Miss Sassy! I really wanted to explore the neighborhood and then the entire world but I didn't get a chance to because someone thought I shouldn't be out all alone and brought me to the shelter on 7/20. I am a sweet, gentle girl with a heart of gold and one of the volunteers have been so gracious and kind to give me the love and affection that I don't think I have ever had before. She's really cool and I like her a lot! Its really nice to feel so much love. I know I can do anything because they believe in me and I believe in me. I am stinking cute. I am playful when its time to play but when its time to be serious, I will be obedient when you want me to. I walk pretty well on a leash. I take treats gently also. Here's a plus I can sit when asked all by myself and I may know more but I am hoping you will spend some time with me and teach me what I don't know. Could you please help me get out of this shelter and let me shower you with lots of love and attention? I am eager to please to learn whatever I need to learn to continue to grow up as an adult. I need someone to look up to and know you will be in my corner everyday of my life. A guardian angel who has a nice bed for me to sleep in and a good home to make lasting memories in. I am only 5 years old and weigh a mere 53 lbs. Still young enough to live a happy life with you and whatever adventures you would like me to be a part of. I prefer to be on every adventure you can throw my way. Bottom line, I just want to be with you. Please be a responsible family who can provide for me, teach me to continue to be a great pup, make sure you have the type of home I can be welcomed into. Sassy is current on vaccines, will be spayed upon her adoption. She is already microchipped. Sadly, Sassy has tested positive for heart worms, but with treatment, dogs who test positive usually go on to live long and healthy lives. Ask about the shelter's foster program for Sassy; she would undergo treatment at the shelter but be in a much quieter environment of a home with a family that will grow to love her.
