Sasha is one of the Olympic Puppies born (3/01/06) to Esther, a Cream and Black German Shepherd who was rescued Very Pregnant. Esther watched the Winter Olympics with her foster mom each evening. We thought it fitting to name each of Esther’s puppies after an American Olympic Athlete.
Sasha is named after 2006 Olympic Ice Skater, (Proper name) Alexandra Pauline Cohen, (AKA) Sasha. (Sasha is a Ukrainian nickname for Alexandria – her mother is Ukrainian)
Sasha was the 2006 Olympic silver medalist for Ice Skating.
Sasha is as much an ambassador for her charities as she is for her sport. She is active in promoting her charities and quietly embraces causes for their impact on youth and families.
Sasha enjoys an active role in supporting the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and was the guest of honor hosting a tea that raised money for the children's hospital. She is a spokesperson with Girls, Inc., and Covenant House.
Sasha is a sweet, happy, active little girl who loves to snuggle.
Sasha enjoys playing with her siblings.
As a Shepherd / Lab Mix, Sasha will make a wonderful loyal, fun loving and intelligent companion for anyone.
