My Story

ADOPTION APPLICATIONS FOR SANDI CAN BE ACCESSED ON OUR WEBSITE: almosthomefoster.com Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption. All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting adoption applications for Sandy - MN Sandy is a breeder-release. She is 12# and is 2.5 years of age. She is well socialized, loves attention and to sit in one's lap. She although not potty-trained at this time, she keeps her night-time kennel clean; she prefers to potty on wood chips/mulch; this is the type of floor based that she was raised on. Sandy is lowed keyed and looking for her furever home. As a general rule, we state that all of our fosters are not house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Sandy is crated at night only and at this time, she keeps her crate clean and dry. She has not had the opportunity to have accidents in the home. Her routine is consistent. Sandy is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Sandy acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Sandy to acclimate to the drastic changes in her life. Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application.
