Meet Sammy! Hello, my name is Sammy! I am almost two years old and I am ready to find my forever family! I LOVE to cuddle and give kisses. Can 60 pound dogs be lap dogs? If so, sign me up! I am an Aussie mix, and I love to play, but I am strong and need someone who is patient to teach me how to play properly. I have been working really hard with my foster dad on learning how to get along with other humans. I do great with women, but I don’t love men as much. Although my foster dad is a male and he is my BFF. I have not lived with kids, but I met some at an adoption event and they seem okay as long as they are a little older and respect my boundaries. I get along really well with my foster pup siblings, and my foster dad has learned that I have some very specific toys that I don’t like to share. Since he has figured that out, he can now teach my new family how to make sure I get along with other dogs in my new home. I would do better in a home with only medium to large dogs, and I like to chase cats, so my foster dad says it really depends on the cat, but I might be better in a home with only dogs. I also really like chasing flies, so I would like to list pest control on my resume! If you take me home, I promise I will chase them all away. I just want a place to call home.
