A playful, people loving one and a half year old,
Sal is a little guy at just about 50 pounds of puppy love. He loves playing with other dogs and nosily expresses his delight as he and his foster brothers and sisters wrestle. He’s lived with cats-- one would swat him away and the other enjoyed playing and being carried around by him!
Young slender Sal, who has a bit of white on his chest, is housetrained and will “sit pretty” for a treat while making soft happy sounds. He sits politely for his meals, making little appreciative noises. A toasted bagel happily snagged from the counter might complete his breakfast some days! Affectionate Sal loves attention. He’ll do some fetching for you, but is still mastering the art. Sal loves his toys and on occasion has taken them all out of the toy box one by one to play with. This little fellow is still very much a puppy!
Sal will be a perfect buddy for an active person who enjoys spending time with a young dog and bringing out his best with leadership and training. Sal needs a Gentle Leader on walks and, like so many happy people loving youngsters, needs to work on the “four on the floor” greeting. While playful and active, he settles down very well when it’s time to relax and watch TV. He quietly lies down or sometimes naps on a pillow in his crate. He prefers to sleep in with you at night.
His foster dad tells us, “Sal is a very sweet boy and will make someone a wonderful pet. He needs someone who can pay lots of attention to him and if he had another dog to play with, even better!”
