Sadie

Care for a sweet little companion who likes to play, walk, cuddle, and tries her best to give and receive love? Sadie's your girl! A Maltese mix, Sadie is approximately four years old, white, fluffy, and in her prime. The name Sadie means "princess," and once you've spent time with her, you'll agree with that title. She's very attuned to children, adults, and animals as well, getting along with other dogs, attempting cat contact, (though not always welcomed), and warming up quickly when she meets unfamiliar people, (as royalty must).. She's followed the examples of her foster's dogs, and learned the house rules easily. Sadie loves her toys, and ropes and rings are her favorites, inspiring her to run around the yard, throwing them and fetching for herself. She'll join in with her foster's dogs when they get excited, playing rowdy games of chase around the yard. But like a princess, of course. Mostly, Sadie wants to be around her people, whether sitting on the back porch or snuggling while they watch TV or read. She's still working on house-training, but her foster dad says she's 90% there, and does well in her crate. Being a Maltese mix, Sadie has that innate drive to please, making gentle training something she enjoys and craves. She's a treat lover, too--a huge plus in training, and cheese is her dream food. NOT a peanut butter girl. She is a princess, after all. Sadie makes a wonderful inside dog, always pleased to be with her people, but also having the energy and enthusiasm to enjoy walks and a romp in the yard. Sadie's ready for her forever family.
