~~~~~~~ADOPTED 8-11-08, thank you Gina in Clarkfork, ID! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATED 7-16-08. Sabra has been returned. Turns out she cannot get along with the horses at her adopted families home. (She was fine with my horse, and could care less about the goats and chickens) Adoptive family states " She likes to bounce and bark at them and they don't appreciate it! " She is also a bit of a containment challenge, and doesn't like being locked up alone all day. Can't say that we blame her, who would! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ In 5-29-08. Rescued from a local kill shelter after being picked up as a stray at large with no ID. She sat there for 10 days with nobody coming to claim her. She's a big, lanky girl. They had her listed as a Pointer mix, but I really see Great Dane. She even has the "happy tail", where she's bloodied the tip of her tail wagging it against the chain link walls of the shelter cage she was in. She is as gentle as a lamb, loves everyone and everything. Very sweet with children, cats, other dogs, goats and fine with the horses. She is terribly skinny, just a bag of bones really. We'll get some meat on her body and she should weigh about 90+ #'s, but is a mere 51#'s right now. She is aged at around 10 months to a year. Her black is almost a steely blue and her white body color has black/blue freckles underneath. NICE dog, if you like them BIG!
