My Story

He's a fantastic big boy. A true yellow labrador retriever. He is 2.5 years old, neutered (recently) and all shot are uptodate. Ryder is very smart and learns new rules quickly. When he came to me he wasn't house trained or so they said, but he is after only one accident. Ryder also did not know what a leash looked liked, but now sits for me so I can put the leash on and is learning quickly not to pull. Ryder would like to show you just how smart he is by taking you obedience classes, to get really perfect at everything. But he already walks of the leash when I take him to the off-leash park and follows me well. Ryder loves every dog we meet and leaves all cats alone (doesn't even look at them). The only thing that Ryder doesn't like is being locked up in a small space. He gets in a panic and wants to escape. However Ryder is perfectly fine in the house (he's ,together with Maggie and the cat alone in the house for 9 hours at a time ). Ryder he either sleeps in my bedroom ,by the bed but most time he stays just outside my bedroom door and sleeps quietly all night. My son takes him twice a week for a good run and he just loves that.

Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!ent with this boy.
