Ryder-Adopted!

Ryder has found her second chance and is doing well thanks to TnT's medical support and the loving family who took her in! She has found her forever home!

Ryder is a sweet 7 month old puppy who almost lost her life last week due to some very poor advice from a vet.
Ryder has a bad case of yeast all over her body, which has caused her fur to fall out. The cure for this is very simple! Regular shampooing with the right shampoo every few days, and a good diet.
Thankfully TnT Shar pei rescue has been able to assist Ryder and place her in a loving foster home, and she is doing better already!!
She is happy, well fed, and putting on weight and fur.
Ryder is a darling and affectionate pup, eager to please and very obedient.
We are so thankful we were able to save Ryder and rather shocked that a vet would say that "Bad Shar Pei skin" is a reason to euthanize a dog. There is no such thing as bad Shar pei skin. Shar- pei are prone to skin diseases common to many dogs. With a good diet and proper bathing with the right shampoo, inexpensive medication (which was not prescribed in Ryder's case) any Shar-pei with 'bad skin' can be cured.

As well as the special care needed to treat her skin, Ryder needs to be spayed and have eye surgery on both eyes, she has lost some vision in one eye already due to a simple eye tuck which was not done when she needed it as a pup.
