My Story

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED I may be a girl that wants to be the only animal but I am the best companion for ALL ages!! Do you need a supervisor for movie night? I am your gal I can watch the kids and even keep them nice and warm with my professional snuggle skills take me home today and you will have a full time babysitter for all your Netflix and chill evenings!! -Ruby Ruby has been in boarding for many months (ABOUT 8 NOW) and is still looking for a place to call home... even just as a foster! Here are some words on Ruby from her boarding foster: Ruby is wonderful! She is happy and active, loves sunbathing and walks (as long as the weather is good; she likes to keep her feet dry). She loves to redecorate her bedding any chance she gets for the ultimate plush comfort. She still prefers to be the only dog for any persons attention, but she's gotten better at tolerating dogs in closer proximity. She loves to bounce and play with me any chance she gets and is ALWAYS so happy. Everyday is a good day for Ruby! And she never fails to bring a smile to everyone's face she meets! The lovely Ruby is a ~9 year old Pitbull who weighs 44 pounds (just a little thing!). Ruby tolerates a kennel and is potty-trained. FOSTER: Foster homes love and care for the pets in rescue until adoption. Commitment times vary. While in foster, we provide supplies (kennel, leash, collar, etc.), food, and vet care. Our fosters supply the love until they are adopted. Our Foster Application can be found on https://kpalrescue.org/foster-volunteer/. Foster homes must be located in/around Kenai/Soldotna/Homer. ADOPT: KPAL Rescue dogs are vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, etc.). Ruby is in our Senior and Special Needs (SAS) Pet Program, this means that her adoption fee ($350) can be credited towards the veterinary clinic of the adoptive family's choice for any future medical expenses (medications, surgeries, end-of-life, etc.) for her. There may also be additional funds available if needed (up to $650, for a total of $1000). Complete our Adoption Application at www.kpalrescue.org/pet-adoption/. #kpalrescue
