Rubble

Meet Rubble! We prefer to find him a rescue, but for the perfect home, we may consider adopting him out. Rubble was surrendered to us back in December of 2023 due to medical concerns of not gaining weight. We could not determine a cause, so we just started feeding him on a schedule as usual and this big boy went from 44 pounds to 76 pounds without any issues. When he first came into the shelter, he grabbed a treat from someone's finger and nipped them. He behaved as if he was starving, which he was! He has not tried to bite out of aggression other than not appreciating vet treatments being forced on him, like a lot of animals do. Rubble doesn't enjoy being in a kennel and vocalizes that when people or other dogs walk by. Outside of the kennel, he loves going on walks and playing in our play park. Once you are in the "Rubble club", he is very curious and sweet. He has the talent of being able to catch every treat thrown his way! We do know that he does not like cats, so he can't go into a home with cats. His previous family did have children, but due to his food motivation, we recommend no children in the home and no random strangers coming and going.
