You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Roy Kent, and I am almost one year old - my Birthday is August 5! I am a 45 pound, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. I am a sweet, affectionate, fun-loving guy but you might not know that when you first meet me. I can take a little while to warm up to strangers and adjust to new situations. A little like my Ted Lasso namesake, actually! I have been known to make big bark noises and act like I don't want new friendsbut really I do! And my foster mom is a trainer who has been teaching me all the things that will help me find my own forever family. The great news is that I am a super smart kid and I've made amazing progress. I now understand that new people can be new friends! I'm still cautious, but with the right kind of introduction, I do great. I currently live with kids and have done very well with them, too! These kids are dog-savvy, of course, so if you're little ones are dog-savvy, too, we will do just fine together. And, lastly, I am fabulous with dogs. Especially friendly dogs who want to be buddies - I LOVE to be buddies! Another dog in my forever home is important to my well being and is a requirement for me. There are farm animals at my foster moms house, too, and I've been good with everyoneoutside of the chickens and ducks who I REALLY enjoy chasing. I'm told that's a breed characteristic and will not change. I am a very well behaved boy. I am house trained and crate trained, and I do not chew on things I'm supposed to. I will settle well on my own, walk well on leash and I know several basic commands. I am a dream dog for the right family!
