My Story

For a dog we felt had rotten luck, she sure managed to fool us for she has found some of the nicest folks around to call he family. Mike and Liudmila are savvy animal-loving folks. Last year they adopted Bruno, a mastiff mix boy from the Burnby SPCA that had come from a terrible past. When they chose to try adding Roxy to their family we were all so excited for her, but Bruno was not so sure he wanted to share his home with another canine. Thanks to Mike and Lucy's patience and tenacity things have mellowed out, and Roxy has managed to wiggle her way into everyone's hearts!

Some dogs have all the luck, Roxy has not been one of them. A year after being adopted, Roxy has been returned, as her family is moving to Africa, and is not bringing her along. They state that their little girls absolutely loved her, and she was in turn in love with them. We would like to see her placed in a home with children as they are her true love. Of course Roxy loves all people, and in the words of her foster mom "she is just SO happy" all the time.

According to her original rescuer Roxy's mom was a purebred dogue, and her Dad was a pit x boxer. Roxy is the size of a large pit bull and has the big-grinning personality to match. With the dogue heritage adding in her oh so cute extra wrinkles, and solid build.

Well we think that Roxy is astoundingly fabulous! She is vivacious, oh so charming, silly, wiggly and smiley. What more could you ask for?

Roxy supreme people lover who can charm anyone's pants off. She is about 2 years old, wrinkly, and stunning red brindle colour. She looks like a little Piglet, and snorts like one too! Roxy loves all people, and is good with dogs when introduced slowly, but needs continued work on her leash manners around other dogs. She would do best as an only dog, or with a playful male companion. She is looking for a bully breed experienced home, that loves Roxy's love for life. She is just one happy pooch, and deserves a home that will be just as happy as her.
