Roxy!!! Sex: FEMALE Age: 2.5 Yrs Old GOOD with dogs, GOOD with older kids (10+ year old), UNKNOWN with cats ADOPTION FEE: $550 www.unbreakabull.com/adopt Roxy is the sweetest pup who hasn’t had the best of luck in her short few years of life. She came to the shelter as a stray this past winter and, after being adopted, was found a few months later living in horrible conditions. Roxy found herself back at the shelter; however, she was a rockstar in playgroups and a staff favorite! After, Roxy found a loving foster mom, lived with three male dogs, and did fabulous! She loved having fur siblings to play and tussle with all day! Roxy does well in a kennel but only if left for a short time. Once settled in, she would probably be fine out of the kennel/home alone (for reasonable periods of time). Roxy loves car rides, is 100% house/potty trained and walks well on a leash. She is, however, reactive to the sound, smell and, especially, sight of critters so…hold on! She is very strong! Roxy knows some basic commands but still needs some work. She will also benefit from having other dog(s) in the house; she displays some separation anxiety when not included with the other dogs. Roxy does great with women but has shown some nervous/skittish behavior towards men; however, at the shelter, she was okay with the male volunteers taking her out. ? For the past couple weeks, Roxy has been on an adventure with her “bonus” foster mom, living in the country. She loves taking walks and exploring the outdoors and, when inside, playing fetch/tug-o-war with her rope toys! She puts her nose to work like a blood hound on the mowed walking trails, in an attempt to sniff and dig out ground critters. Roxy has a ton of energy and could explore and play all day if you let her! During downtime, however, she’s not quite sure what to do with herself and has shown some “sadness”. Roxy was carefully/slowly introduced to the men in the house at her bonus foster mom’s. It did take some time for her to accept and trust them. There was also a bit of a “reacceptance” process each time they were gone for an extended period of time (at work, etc.) Roxy would benefit from having another active, playful dog in the house. She would probably do best in a forever home with a strong, active female leader, who can provide her with the trust, stability, patience, and consistency she needs.
