My Story

Rottie Rudy is approximately six years old. She was rescued July 2005 from death row in a small county shelter where there were seven other dogs in a small run with her and the shelter manager was feeding them only once a week. She was very thin, dehydrated and had mange. Before being dropped off at the shelter she was used as a 'backyard breeder' and when her owners felt she was too old to have more puppies they took her to the shelter. What a rough life this girl has had! Now in her foster home she's flourished! She's put on plenty of weight (maybe too much!). She's crate trained and house trained. She gets along well with dogs of her size but doesn't care for small dogs or cats. She seems to be afraid of children. She also prefers to eat alone. Despite these little quirks she's nothing but personality! She dances around when she's excited, wags her tail all the time and wants to do nothing but please you. She's very timid and shy when she first meets strangers but warms up after a little while. This girl deserves a good home to rest and not worry in for the second half of her life. She would love to be your TV watching companion and she's very good at it!
