My Story

Now Fostered in Issaquah Wa! This cutie is Rosie. She is currently 5 months old, and we think she may be a Pit Bull mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. Rosie is the sweetest, most well-behaved puppy. She is also working on her basic dog training and is excelling at “wait,” “sit,” “come,” and her favorite game is “find it” with dog treats hidden around the room or scattered across the floor; she’s quite the sniffer. Her leash skills could use a little work because she loves to weave back and forth to sniff everything, but she’s been getting better with time and practice and is not a puller on the leash. Rosie is also an expert at playing with or without people, she is easily entertained for a 5 month old puppy, she knows the difference between what’s for her and what’s not, which makes keeping her on track very easy. She’s fairly well potty trained and crate trained, but like all puppies, she’s a work in progress and will need to continue to practice her “go potty” command. Rosie is a little shy towards people at first and will likely be the type of dog who loves a quiet household. She’s also great with other dogs and cats and would do well with some fur friends who love to play. She would do best with a family, couple, or person who has fun with dog training, is willing to let her be her more shy self around strangers, has plenty of places to let her roam a yard or local park, and once you win her trust she will steal your heart with how loving, playful, and snuggly she is! She is the kind of dog who will be loyal forever to those she loves, lives to be outside in the sunshine to chew sticks and run around with you, and knows how to use those puppy eyes to melt your heart and get you to give her yet another treat. It’s worth earning her love and trust because she really is the best girl. You can’t go wrong with this sweet, mellow pup, especially if you’re someone who loves to be with your dog and is excited to help her grow in confidence and skills! Rosie is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
