My Story

Meet Rosie, She is 11 months old and has just come into care at New Hope.,p> Rosie is a very friendly energetic little girl. She is a border collie mix and has much of the border collie traits: energetic, friendly, loves to play fetch, and very fast. Rosie gets a long well with other dogs and does well at doggie daycare.

Rosie LOVES to play fetch with humans or wrestle or tug with other dogs. She's just happy to play. When we got her, she was determined to sleep on the couch or our bed but is getting better at lying on the floor instead. She is fully house trained and really good about letting you know when she has to go outside.

Rosie is looking for a home that will play flyball or agility with her. She thrives on interaction with people and absolutely loves to be trained. If you are looking for a dog to do something with, this is your girl! More to come as we get to know this lovely girl! UPDATE ON ROSIE in her New Foster Home: We have had Rosie for a little over a week now and she is becoming a wonderful dog. She is learning to walk well on a leash as is getting better every time we go out. She knows; Sit, stay, kennel, bed, mat, take nicely, speak, shake, up, come wait and down. We are working on rollover, crawl, twirl, coming to a whistle, sitting before and after going through doorways. She whines and paces if she needs to go outside. She loves to play with her ropes, rings, tennis balls, and of course bones. She will catch toys out of the air and bring them back to you. She loves to play fetch but can get distracted but she is getting a lot better. She does well with every dog we have met so far and gets along with our 3 cats. If the other dog goes after one of our cats Rosie will join in but generally leaves them alone. She does well in the off leash dog park but as stated above she can become distracted. She likes to splash around in water but has not gone past her chest. She loves being around us and follows us wherever we go unless told otherwise. She is leery of strange men but likes all women.
Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
