My Story

ROSIE' s adoption donation of $275 includes spaying, vaccinations & deworming.

Please do not apply for this pet unless you are able to adopt it within 3 days of your online application being submitted and approved by Animal Alliance. We are unable to "Hold" pets.

ROSIE: This gorgeous hunk of woman is waiting for her family to come and get her. ROSIE is a gentle giant, and loves people more than any dog you'll ever meet. ROSIE gets along with other dogs, but can be possessive sometimes, because of that, and her large size, we recommend she be an “only child.” And really, ROSIE has enough love to give to be at least two dogs anyway.

When 3-year-old ROSIE was first rescued our Animal Alliance photographer saw an emaciated dog that was using what was left of her strength to nurse her puppies. Yes, our gorgeous girl ROSIE had just brought ten wonderful puppies into the world and was giving them the love and nourishment needed to survive. While nursing, it was necessary to feed BIG MAMA around the clock less she suffer from malnutrition. We brought her weight up from 45 hungry pounds to her current weight of close to 90 pounds. Our ROSIE takes up space, and will undoubtedly love a bed of her own where she can spend hours with "chewies". ROSIE is one special woman and the lucky family that is chosen to care for her will be rewarded many times over. If you would like to apply for the priviledge of being her family, please fill out our online application.

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is dewormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details.

Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.
