Meet Roscoe! Roscoe was dumped at his foster mom’s work by a coworker in July 2023. He followed his old owner around, waited for him in his parking spot, and eventually realized he wasn’t going to go back home with him. When he arrived, he weighed about 70lbs. In a matter of weeks, he lost about 25lbs due to the stress of losing his owner. He now weighs 75lbs and according to the doctor should maintain between 65-75lbs. This big guy loves to play catch and will happily chase the ball for hours. He is one smart cookie and is obedient and quick to learn new commands. He enjoys long walks and would make a great hiking or running buddy. Roscoe likes to be the alpha dog in the house. He is confident and likes to take charge, so he’d do best as the only dog, or with a submissive companion. His foster family absolutely adores him and would adopt him in a second if their other dogs got along with him. He can also be a little protective of his kennel as that is his safe haven. He just needs the confidence that he is going to have a safe place to sleep and someone isn’t going to leave him again. Roscoe is looking for a family who will give him the love and attention he deserves. He is a loyal and playful companion who promises to bring joy and adventure to your life.
