The shelter calls him Rocky II, as they have another dog named Rocky. Rocky is a handsome large sable male German Shepherd who is approximately 9 years old. He is currently in foster care with a shelter volunteer, but he still desperately needs a new home.
Rocky was not doing well in the shelter environment. He did not understand how he ended up in this very loud and confusing place. GSGSR volunteers evaluated Rocky's temperament and he passed all of our tests, but he was very focused on the door and trying to find his way home. After spending a little time with him, Rocky relaxed and was pleasantly greeting everyone who entered the shelter.
Rocky knows a few basic commands, demonstrating “Sit” and “Shake” when we offered him a treat. Rocky gets along with other dogs and cats, but as we don't know if he has ever lived with small children, he should not go to a home with young children.

All dogs are spayed/neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations before adoption.
