My Story

This sweet old man is Rocky and he will tug at your heartstrings. 12 years young he has not had the easiest life. He found himself in a shelter at 1 year old. After being adopted 11 years ago, Rocky was picked up as a stray, his collar rusted around his neck (a tool was needed to remove it), and stuck on the EU list. It does not look like his adopter did much to care for him, but despite all of that, Rocky loves people. He is kind, affectionate, gentle and chill. Rocky gets along with female dogs, loves getting all the scratches from humans, is good with kids and ignores cats. Rocky had a wonderful wellness exam. He is your typical old man with cataracts and a little arthritis. Slightly hard of hearing or maybe it’s just selective. This does not stop him from doing mini zoomies when he goes back inside after enjoying a little yard time. He even has fun playing in the yard with one of his doggy roommates. Rocky is HW+ and the vet said he is healthy for fast-kill injections. He is scheduled to receive his first injection on July 1st. Luckily Rocky is a very mellow guy and keeping him calm through treatment will be incredibly easy. Rocky can be adopted now by a devoted family that will continue his heartworm treatment. It is paid for by HHDR. Give this distinguished gentleman the love he deserves during his remaining years. Spoil him like he has never been spoiled before. Rocky deserves it!
