Rocco

Meet Rocco, a three-year-old, 62-pound, tri-color bully mix, who is FULLY TRAINED. Mr. Rocco, a/k/a Gremlin, Meatball, Beef Cake, has been in the HOPE program since August of 2022, benefiting from 24/7 one-on-one training (follow his weekly blog here: https://centralpaanimalalliance.org/rocco-blog). Rocco asked us to share the following with you: "...I don't want to start my chat with you giving off a conceited vibe, but I need you to know that not only do I know sit, paw, stay, release, roll over, high five, sit pretty BUT I also know how to use the TREADMILL. You read that right. I actually love the treadmill. It almost sounds like I could be a personal trainer at a human gym to help motivate some people for their New Year's resolutions. I also love doing zoomies in the snow, almost like a Rocco wheelie. Movement is my speed. In addition to all my tricks, and feel free to call me Mr. Perfect, I smile. Yes, I have a huge smile and I usually smile with one ear up and one ear down. I will admit, because I am so smart and eager to please and learn, that I know it is cute, and that is why I do it. I am a HAPPY RADIATOR. I bring joy with me, and I have never had a bad day. I am crate trained but to be honest, I love sneaking in bed next to my humanz when they are asleep. I am a love bug and I love my humanz. I have been described by my handler as: loyal, playful, funny, sweet, cuddly, and perfect. I am fascinated by the flexible Frisbee - I mean who wouldn't be? I can entertain myself for hours playing with that thing. I toss it, I catch it, I smile with it in my mouth (one ear up and one down - if someone is watching). I also love ropes and all kinds of balls. I am kind of a #baller and the lady K9's love me. I am also utilized for many in-person rescue events, indicating I am good in the car, I show well, I allow you to put shenanigans on me, I am cool with people, I am very photogenic, and I know how to strut my stuff on the red carpet. Although most of the world is in "snore denial" meaning they know they snore but still deny it - I am told my snoring is calming and one of the 'cutest' things about me. If you haven't caught on to the theme of my life, it is that I am CUTE and do very CUTE things. I also love the doggie pool - I mean is there a dog that doesn't? It is like a dog bathtub. Imagine a Meatball like me in a K9 bathtub! I play with a lot of other dogs in the yard on a daily basis, so I am well socialized. I am a leader and not a follower, just saying. I like to set the K9 bar high for others. Although I would deny this in an actual conversation, I do like to hear myself talk (bark) and I love to hear myself make hyena noises. I can be dog selective but seriously - aren't we all? Humans and K9's - be honest with yourself. Even the kindest people have a list of folks they do not love. I have been introduced to younger and smaller dogs and I know my size and strength and I was delicate with them. What does that tell you? Well, besides being CUTE, TRAINED, and SMART, I also have a lot of insight and emotional intelligence. Try finding another K9 bio that mentions "emotional intelligence,' I dare you. Ha. I have been cat tested and although cats are cool, they really aren't my thing. They are a little too small, slick, and manipulative for me. While my name and appearance may sound very Italian, I am a true cuddle and love bug. As much as I love my handler, I am truly ready for my FURever family and home.
