My name is Rocco. Kind of a tough name for a little guy. I only weight 4.5 pounds but it's 100% pure spunk. Ok, maybe 50% spunk and 50% lover. And I'm a big time lover. I love all people and I haven't met a lap yet that I didn't want to sit in and cuddle. I'm 10 years old, but that's not all that old for a chihuahua. I still have lots of good years still to come. I was living at the shelter. They made sure I was fed and safe, but I just didn't get as much 'lap time' as I'd like.
Now I'm living with a nice lady, I call her my foster mom, and lots of other dogs that I call foster brothers and sisters. My foster mom says I'm adorable. I'd much prefer she find a little more manly name to describe me. I'm not saying she's wrong (cause she's not!) but with a name like Rocco....well adorable sounds a little sissy for a guy.
It doesn't really show up in the picture but I have an ulcer on my eye that is infected. The doctor is going to remove the eye on Friday. But that's ok. I still have one good eye and I'll still be able to see well enough to run and play, eat, sleep and cuddle. You don't have to have 2 eyes to do any of those things! I was at the doctors today and I got neutered. Luckily I was asleep and don't remember. Apparently they did a dental too and they had to pull some teeth cause when I woke up some of my teeth were gone too! But that's ok too. I can still eat.
I'd really like to find a forever home where I can live out the rest of my life just being loved on. If you have room in your life for a tough little guy with a big heart, please come meet me or submit an adoption application for me. I would love to see you with my one good eye and prove to you that I'm still good as new. My adoption fee is $150.

We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION, therefore, please complete your online Adoption Application which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. if you have current pets, they must be spayed and/or neutered, current on their vaccinations, and on Heartworm preventative. ALL of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to being Adopted. They are UTD on shots, Heartworm negative, & micro chipped. They must be kept on Heartworm preventative. Our adoption fee varies. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need 3 or 4 sets of shots, multiple dewormings, plus other puppy needs to keep them healthy.
