My Story

Robin is absolutely a doll! (or should I say “Dal”?) Dalmatians are one of my very favorite types of dogs and Robin certainly fits everything you’d want in a perfect, playful, funny, social little puppy. Dalmatians are bold, unique, and are known as the clowns of the dog world. Our own first rescue dog – whom we had for 15 years! - was a Dalmatian and I can testify to the fact that they make fabulous companions! Robin is probably a Dalmatian mix, but her second breed I cannot quite identify. It may include a drop of German Pincher because of her leanness, or a small version of a yellow Labrador retriever. The fact that she is likely a blend of Dal and something else is a good thing – she is healthy and happy, and isn’t a “crazy” puppy at all. Her spots are faint – very muted – and beautiful. Dalmatians have a hard, smooth, short and dense coat, and require frequent brushing with a firm bristle brush to minimize loose hair. She is smaller than a full bred Dalmatian – at 3 months, she weighs less than 20 pounds. She is lean and lovely! Dalmatians are exceedingly social and thrive on human companionship and attention. This breed is aloof with strangers and makes an excellent watchdog; only barking when absolutely necessary. Her adoption covers her spay, all of her baby shots, her rabies shot and bordatella inoculation. She is great with other dogs – playful and well mannered – and also fine with all of my rescued kitties. She is also crate trained.
