My Story

If you would like to fill out an adoption questionnaire for this dog, please click here and e-mail the questionnaire to [email protected]. .

Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact [email protected] to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this animal! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific animal you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.

You can save animals like this pup by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here and email the questionnaire to [email protected].

This cutie pie is one of a litter of 5 cuties. Born at the end of July, out in West Va and then taken to the shelter with their mom Nitza - also on our site. We were just able to find room in our program to get them into a foster home.
We think they are Bluetick & Beagle mix but we aren't sure. Mom is a Beagle / Dachshund mix who tops out at 20lbs..... so she clearly has a boyfriend who is quite a bit bigger. We believe (guess) they will be 40-50 lbs full grown (which is guessing on the larger side, they might be as small as 35lbs).
They are super cute and playful. They are current on their shots, love to play and ready for homes.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which covers the cost of routine vet care, as well as spay/neuter surgery.
