My Story

*****We are Good Catch Dog Rescue. The dogs in our care are fostered by either ourselves or close friends. We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because TX is flooded with unwanted dogs already. All of our dogs are vaccinated and on preventatives. Dogs older than 6 months are spayed or neutered. Our dogs live with us, not in boarding, and they are part of our family. Please visit our website to learn more about our family and our dogs. Goodcatchdogrescue.org***** Meet Saint Rita!! Born under a church on May 5th to her momma, Monica (Saint of Motherhood) alongside 7 other siblings! She came into rescue at 1 week old and has never known a day without love. Like her mom (shown in last photo above), Rita is a mix of mostly American bully and Shar-pei. Her brother, Francis who is adopted had his DNA test done and so we're sharing his results for the rest of his littermates. Sometimes the percentages may vary, but we know they're darn close. - Results can be seen by visiting our website (goodcatchdogrescue.org). If we had one word to describe Rita at this young of age, it would be "friend". She's the first to greet you and the last to leave your side. She takes joy in being held and loved on and even more joy in loving you back. She stands out easily from her other dark-coated siblings in personality even though without collars, they look identical. Rita will most likely grow to be as big as her 60lb mom. She's a stout girl and packing on the pounds weekly while on a high protein, puppy diet and plenty of treats in between. She's too young to be housetrained but she prefers to go potty outside. She isn't vocal but she is mouthy and like most pups her age, she's a chewer and a biter so children under 5 should beware! This is typical at this stage and can easily be diverted through toys, chews and more toys. At this young of age, Rita will require someone home more often than not. Puppies less than 5 months shouldn't be left for long periods of time as they need the socialization as well as the potty breaks. Rita is up to date with her shots and should receive boosters up until 16 weeks. She is microchipped, on prevention and a healthy girl looking for a happy family. Rita be transported to her new family using one of our trusted partners.  Our adoption fee is $350 and to transport out of state is an additional $300.
