RILEY--Rescued!

Why ROAD RILEY? Animal Control received a call about a dog who had fallen from the back of a pickup truck and was walking around in the middle of the highway. Upon arrival he was told by the person calling that the driver had turned around and told them "it wasn't his dog anyway- he was just hauling him off." So the driver left. Hauling him off???? What, like a load of trash? The dog fell out of the truck and was left on the road like so much litter? Who does that to a living breathing being? Show Riley that most humans have a heart and take him home to be your treasured companion. But you must act today, the shelter is very full!

Riley seems very gentle. He is a nice big boy with a calm attitude. He seems to have only suffered scrapes to his face, but as any adopted dog he should be examined by a veterinarian.

No one will ever love you like a dog who was once abandoned!

The Animal Control Facility for Bladen County, North Carolina IS a kill-shelter, so the animals seen here have a limited time to be available. This is a rescue-friendly facility so all reputable rescues are welcome to register in advance as an Adoption Partner. You, as the adopter or rescue organization, are responsible for any and all veterinary work given. No health or temperament guarantees are given or implied.
