My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Ricardo (RIC0524CALMN) Estimated Breed: Standard Dachshund / Beagle MIX Approximate Age: 5 years Approximate Weight: 23 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Say Hi to Ricardo! This handsome fella came to us along with his twin brother Rolando and his other brother Romeo. Ricardo is a friendly guy, happiest when he is with his people or his brothers. He gets along well with other dogs and older children. He has a pretty easy going personality and would thrive in a calm more mature home. City living is definitely not his thing! Ricardo is crate trained and ready to find a loving home where he can be your special boy. Will you be his? Submit an application today and meet your new best friend! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at [email protected] SPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives! K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! We are all volunteer based organization so every cent from your donation goes directly to the dogs in our care.
