Remy is a gorgeous 1- 2 year old Lab with a broad chest, shiny yellow coat, thick otter tail and big puppy eyes. He’s happily eating his way to a perfect 80 pounds. Remy is a typical young, high energy Lab who does well with a routine and lots of exercise. He loves to play with his foster sister, trips to the dog park and long daily walks with his foster dad.
Remy is very responsive, wants to please and lives to hear what a good boy he is. When into a bit of youthful mischief, he’s easily redirected. Remy is housetrained and content in his crate when you’re out and sleeps quietly there all night. While he’s an active boy, he can settle nicely. “He’s a real love bug who loves to snuggle up on the couch,” his foster dad tells us.
Remy is off to a great start with his training. He spent some time with the director of Animal Lodge where he learned some basic commands and how to swim (after falling in the pool in his excitement!). His foster parents have “picked up the ball” on training Speaking of balls, Remy loves to fetch!
A typical teenager, he can be a little pushy and is still working on his manners. He can be mouthy and needs work on taking treats gently. Remy sits with a hand signal, waits at a door, shakes and comes when called. When greeting, he does like to put his paws on you; he’s doing pretty well on the leash. His foster dad remarked, “He’s just keeps getting better and better every day!”
A big, strong incredibly handsome and affectionate boy with a puppy heart who’s eager to do the right thing, Remy is, in a nutshell, just a wonderful Lab!
