Hi all! My name is Red and I never thought I’d find myself in a predicament such as this. You see, I was the beloved pet of a senior lady who just loved, loved, loved me! We were together for 8 years until she couldn’t care for herself anymore and she had to go to a nursing home. Her daughter knew how much I was loved and turned to SGRR to find me a home where I would be loved again just like my first mommy loved me. I am an easy-going fellow who is very loving and affectionate. Of course I am totally housebroken and I have wonderful house manners. I was given a summer hair cut but once my coat grows back in you will see what a gorgeous silky coat I have! Just give me a treat, a belly rub, a walk in the park and I will be your new best friend for life!

All potential adopters need to complete our online application and participate in our pre-adoption review process, including a home visit, before being approved. In some cases, the specific dog you are interested in may have found a home before this process is complete or further assessment may find that this dog is not the right match for your family. We are regularly getting new Goldens in need of a home, so we encourage you to apply and get approved so that when the right dog comes along you will be ready. The information provided on each dog is based on observations of our vets, volunteers, fosters and when available, trainers. While we do our best to report any and all issues, SGRR does not make any guarantees as to the health or temperament of any dog. Dogs evolve differently in different environments and we cannot predict with any certainty how the dog you adopt will act in your home Our dogs are fostered in private homes.
