My Story

Arrival Story: Charlie is our newest foster baby - he's partially blind, but that doesn't slow him down much. He was found wandering out in the country - and he has seen three different vets for his eyes. He just started some special eye drops to see if it will help clear up the cloudiness in his good eye. We think he's pretty special and will only give him up to the right home. And so far everyone who's met him has fallen in love at first sight.

Bio: Charlie is potty-trained and crate-trained. He comes and "talks" to you when he needs to go outside. He walks great on a leash with my other dogs and you can have him off leash with no problem - he is responsive even when there are distractions and never strays too far. He gets along great with my other dogs. With his poor eyesight, he has a great sense of smell and hearing - but he gets kind of scared sometimes with weird noises. He hates the trash truck and can usually be found hiding under the bed on trash days. And he's not too sure about toddlers and younger kids, and he pretty much runs and hides from them. But he's fine with older kids. He also hates to get in trouble and can be pretty sensitive about it - he needs a firm, but gentle type of discipline. Otherwise, he's pretty easy to please. He would be perfect for someone who works from home, owns their own business or works somewhere they can take their dog to work. This little guy follows you around EVERYWHERE and likes to lay right at your feet.
