Ranger

Ranger is one of 83 dogs that were seized by the Saskatoon RCMP from a hoarding situation. MLDHS has offered to bring him to our shelter to help socialize him and get him into a loving home environment. He arrived from S'toon on August 21st and is a little shy with people, but he is getting better and gaining confidence with some love and attention from our great volunteers. He's been neutered and up to date with his shots and has a gentle nature and travelled well on the 3 hour trip from S'toon. He's a good looking, long legged fellow who is approx 1 years old and he's talkative as huskies sometimes are. He walks well on a leash and seems good with other dogs. One of our volunteers who works closely with the dogs says this about Ranger: Energy Level - Low/Medium Training - Leash trained During grooming - No troubles with brushing, nail clipping, bathing, drying Overall impression: Mostly quiet but does like to howl. Shy, skittish. Likes to have his face rubbed. Gets along great with other dogs. Would be good with a single owner or with a couple, if they have another dog to keep him company he comes out of his shell around other dogs. He has discovered squeaky toys and does like to play with them. Our dog adoption fee is $160 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip.
