Ralph is a 5- to 7-year old happy Basset boy. He was surrendered to a shelter when his owner had to move. He seems to be fine with everyone he has met. He has never lived with or been exposed to young children and is too energetic for cats. Ralph is very playful, loves to be with you wherever you go, and will snuggle with you. He is best as an only pet in an adult household and acts half his age.
The basset shown on our website and on Petfinder are just a small portion of the ones we have available. For this reason, we ask all potential adopters to complete the application and approval process first so we can talk about the dogs that fit your home. We always have 30 to 60 dogs available and the ages range from about a year old to ten years old. If you're interested in adopting a rescued, homeless Basset Hound you can find our adoption application on our website - www.tristatebassets.org. Once you're there just click on the button "Adoption Procedures", which will take you to a page that completely describes our adoption process with links to an online submittal form or, if you prefer, there are links to download the application for mailing.
