Ralph

Ralph is an 8-year-old long-haired Chihuahua with a big personality! Nothing makes Ralph happier than to cuddle up with his human on the couch. When he isn't napping, he will follow you around the house like a little puppy. To Ralph, being with his person 24/7 is what life’s all about. Ralph previously lived with other dogs his size and he currently lives with a very sweet Shih Tzu and cat. Although Ralph can be a bit jealous and may not like every dog or cat he meets, it is possible that he can happily co-habitate with other pets. He will have to meet all pets living in the household to make sure everyone gets along. Ralph has had a complete senior medical workup and had dental work which removed the last of his 3 remaining teeth. He eats wet food but can eat a little dry kibble. His foster mom reports that he is a very messy eater and will pull his food out of his dish. What Ralph lacks in table manners he more than makes up for in charm. And did we mention that Ralph is a heartworm survivor? He successfully completed heartworm treatment and tested negative for heartworms in January, 2024. We do recommend that his adopter keep up with heartworm preventatives and do annual heartworm testing to keep him healthy. With all our rescues, Ralph has been fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has gone through our Senior Animal Wellness Program which provides a more thorough exam due to his senior status. He has additionally been tested for tick fever, had a urinalysis and x-rays. Medical records will be provided upon adoption.
