Quincy

The home owner, who lived in the area where Quincy was dumped, called the Saline County Sheriff’s Department and threatened to shoot Quincy if someone did not come and get him. Fortunately, a kind person who works for the sheriff’s office stepped in and took Quincy home with her. This placement is only temporary as Quincy ’s rescuer does not have the space to keep him, so he is being kept in the garage on a chain. Even though this is not an ideal situation, at least Quincy is alive with no bullet holes. Quincy is approximately 2-years-old and may have some wire haired terrier in his lineage. At some point, someone decided to crop his ears (doubtless without pain medication), but succeeded in cropping only one, Thus, one ear is shorter than the other. Quincy is extremely sweet and fun loving. He likes other dogs and children. He is neutered and will be up-to-date on his shots prior to placement in foster care. Quincy is an energetic boy and will require a foster or forever home that can provide him with room to run and play. He would adore having long walks! All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. If you are adopting a dog from ARFA, a fenced in yard for the dog will be required. Home visits often occur on each adoption. ARFA has the right to deny adoption to any applicant for any reason without explanation. Please remember that the adoption fee is not for purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care.
