Meet Puppy... His name fits him perfectly! He was born
on 10/15/04, so he’s just turned 3 and this adorable
male is just that - one big PUPPY! His family doesn't
have much time for him and with their son heading off
to college soon and a new baby in the family, they
know a home where someone can spend more time with
Puppy would be best. He's a solid boy who's all
muscle. This guy is in good shape!
* He is crated trained, house broken and respects
fencing. He's a large male with beautiful markings.
Even though he is crate trained, he's been doing well
without it so it's not been used for some time.
* He does well with other dogs; big and small, when
interacting at a dog park. However, Puppy has not been
socialized with other dogs at his home or in one on
one playdates. This would need to be slowly introduced
to make sure he is fine in these situations too. He
recently met a playful Aussie who seemed to really
interest him. Another playful young dog, might be a
great match.
* Seems to have a high prey drive. He's very
interested in cats and squirrels so a home that is
cat-free is a must. He's also birdy; although, he's
had no formal hunt training.
* Very friendly and affectionate.
* He's always lived with children and is just fine
with them. Apparently, he’s an outstanding Wiffle Ball
fielder and can snatch the ball from the air before
even making contact with the bat. He really enjoys the
attention he gets from kids, but due to his size and
excessive energy, we think a home where the kids are 8
or older would be best.
* While he's had some basic obedience, no one has
really followed through. Puppy does jump and pull on a
leash and doesn't know commands well. Some formal
obedience and plenty of exercise should do the trick.
Agility may be a perfect outlet for this bouncy boy!
* This guy can definitely relax. With plenty of
exercise, he'll even put himself to bed at night... He
wants to rest up for tomorrow and have more FUN :)
