BRRrrrr! It's cold out there! But don't tell Pumpkin, she's warm and fuzzy on the outside and in. You see, Pumpkin was purchased for use as a guard dog. She was chained up outside and left there to defend the property. Unfortunately, Pumpkin just didn't work out so well, because, well, she LOVES everyone! Pretty Pumpkin wants nothing more than to have her ears rubbed and follow you around. She is a happy and social girl. Due to her past, she's having to learn now, at two years old, how to be a pet. And she's loving every minute of it. Pumpkin is small for a Saint, only about 85 pounds. She is super soft and has great facial markings. She is a bouncy, energetic dog and would benefit from a large yard to snuff around in. If you're a mittens and cocoa kind of person, Pumpkin might just be the perfect dog to warm you feet! If you are considering Pumpkin, you should act quickly as BDAR has recently lost some of our volunteer foster homes and has no choice but to move some of our rescue dogs to other shelters who have a larger volunteer base. Alternatively, you may contact us if you are interested in fostering any of our dogs.
