Hi, I'm Pumba, just like the warthog from The Lion King, but don't worry, I'm much friendlier! I'm the epitome of sweetness and friendliness, always ready with a wagging tail and a playful bounce. I'm a bit of a goofball, too, often tripping over my own paws in my excitement to play. But when playtime's over, I love nothing more than to cuddle up close, my loyalty shining through as I keep you company. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love, loyalty, and laughter. Adopt me and let's create our own 'Hakuna Matata'! Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
