Puddles-adopted

Puddles is a 2-3 yr old male Llasa Apso who was in a high kill shelter in TN. He was rescued at the last minute and is now in foster for the next 2 wks. He is the sweetest, most loving little dog that God ever made. He loves to sit in your lap. He also loves the other dogs and the cats. He never barks. He is just a perfect little angel. The first pictures are the "before" pictures and the after pics of his "extreme makeover". He was completely matted on his hind legs and they had to be completely shaved. He is going to be neutered and have shots and be h.w. tested on Wed, May 27th. Puddles will be ready to come to Hagerstown MD by June 6th. Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.

It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
