NAME: Pretty GENDER: Female AGE / DOB (Approx.): 6 years old. Hello my name is Pretty (AKA sweet pea), I am about 6 years old and a cross between a bully and a boxer with beautiful stripes and a really sweet face! I was spayed 18 months ago. I came in to emergency foster care mid January in the frigid winter with a wonderful family who I have come to love. I unfortunately tested positive for heart worm at that time but my gracious 2 legged friends vowed to help me get healthy while I completed the treatments. During this time I was given all the love and attention, more than a girl could have dreamed.. which worked out well cause my foster mom loves to cuddle just as much as I do. She takes very good care of me. I am not much of a toy person but I occasionally will play with one of my many squeaky friends. My favorite treats are pig ears and beef bones but if I am outside I will hide them (dog nature am I right). I like to watch squirrels and deer from the front window where I like to sit and I especially love my spot on the couch where my blankey is, that spot is only for me and no one else! (Spoiled, I know). Sometimes mamma puts the fireplace on and I fall asleep in front of it. I love all humans and welcome all the love and pets and I do not make shy at all to new people. I am a people person for sure. I am very gentle and almost always quiet except when the mailman rings the bell and startles me. I am just cleared for activity so my foster mamma is starting to work with me on leash because I am a strong pulling pup. My new family will hopefully help me continue to learn this skill so that I can go on more walks. My family does not have a fenced yard so we have to practice this skill frequently because I tend to want to chase rabbits and squirrels if given the chance. With a little patience and guidance we can get this down though. I have not been introduced to other dogs yet so I do not know how I will feel towards them just yet. I am hoping that I can make friends but it might take some time. I had a bad experience before I was fostered and I think I might be scared.
