POPPY has been at the Delano Shelter for 8 months now. She came in at 5 mo. and is now 13 mo. This is so sad. The shelter is no place for a little one to grow up! We'd love to find a foster home for her so we could bring her into rescue. Contact us ASAP if you would be interested in adopting or fostering this sweet girl. Here's her shelter bio:
POPPY is a 50lbs., Female, 1 yr. old Shepherd mix. This young girl was found as a baby astray by Delano Animal Control on November 9, 2023 (baby picture included in the photos). She has, literally, grown up in the shelter(!) Poppy is a very sweet and gentle girl. She still gets the puppy zoomies sometimes and is SO happy when she gets out of her kennel to play in the playyard. She has been tested with multiple dogs and tested very well in a group setting. Poppy showed zero signs of aggression and enjoyed playing with her new buddies in our doggy play yard. Poppy also tested well when shown a kitten so has potential to be cat friendly as well (video available).
Poppy is Spayed, has received her Rabies Vaccine, Microchip and DAPP Vaccine. Poppy is ready for Adoption or Rescue.
