My Story

6/26/2024 Poppy is an approximately 7 month old doodle girl that currently weighs 32 pounds. Poppy came into our rescue having seizures and after an MRI and tests, it was determined that she has juvenile epilepsy which is being controlled with daily meds and she is now seizure free! Poppy will need to continue these meds and have her blood work checked every 6 months. This is a condition that she could outgrow but for now, to be safe, we are suggesting that she remain on the meds and be 100% seizure free before consulting with the vet regarding a taper down plan. Poppy is a sweetheart and now that she is feeling great, the puppy side in her has come out! She loves to play but can still be a bit mouthy, especially for very young kids. She would love to have a fenced in yard to romp and play in and a canine companion that would enjoy her level of play. She is housebroken and crate trained. Poppy is up to date on shots and preventatives and is micro chipped. Her adoption fee is.$250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs! All dogs adopted locally through SGDR Receive a free six week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavioral support through our project reward program with director/trainer Ashley Reum. Visit our project rewards site: http://www.SnootyGiggles.com/project-reward-class-descriptions-times/ You must have an approved application before being able to visit a dog. Visit our website below for an adoption application- https://www.SnootyGiggles.com/dog-application/ If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks. All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history.
