POINDEXTER

Hi, my name is Poindexter. I am an extremely handsome, 6-month old purebred blue Cane Corso Mastiff. Unfortunately, my ears were cropped, but my tail is natural. I will be at LEAST 100 lbs. when fully grown, but probably more.

I was found tied outside the shelter door one morning with a huge gash on my front leg. That has since been stitched up and I was neutered too. I was absolutely terrified at the shelter and was afraid of everyone there - but can you blame me!?

I am now in a foster home and doing well. I absolutely love soft toys and when you let me out of the crate I get so excited I have to find something to put in my mouth. If there are no toys around sometimes I'll carry around my blanket! I am crate trained and seem to be housebroken. I already know sit and am working on down. I do love to drink out of the toilet bowl, but we're working on that. I seem to be fine with other dogs.

Since I haven't told anyone my past, we're not sure if I was abused or not. However, I am VERY MEN SHY and prefer women over men. I could live with a patient man but will probably be a mommy's boy. I can also be wary of strangers. So, I am looking for an experienced, confident owner to continue my socialization. Breed or previous mastiff experience is also required.
