PLEASE HELP MAX!

"Max" is a handsome, 9-month-old purebred Boykin Spaniel. But this silly boy has gotten himself into a pickle! A typical youngster, Max sometimes eats things he shouldn't! Recently, he ate a piece of rope, and it became lodged in his intestines. Max's family couldn't afford to pay for the emergency surgery he needed, so with heavy hearts they signed him over to rescue.

As soon as we agreed to take him, Max underwent major surgery to remove the rope from his belly. Unfortunately, part of his intestine was so damaged that it had to be removed also. Max is still hospitalized, and he's not out of the woods yet. He was recently diagnosed with a post-op infection, which has set him back a little bit. However, we are confident that Max will make a full recovery. He is a sweet boy who seems to have a lot of will to live!

Max's veterinary bills have already totaled more than $1500, and each day that he is hospitalized, that figure grows larger. ANY DONATIONS TOWARDS MAX'S CARE WOULD BE SO GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Prior to adoption, Max will be fully vetted -- neutered, heartworm negative, and current on his vaccinations and deworming. His adoption fee is $300 (cash only, please).
