Animal Haven Update 4/5/07 My foster mom says I am that perfect dog. She says I am cute too. I will follow her around but do not get into her face. The only time I ask for anything is at night when she is watching TV with the other dogs around her, I will ask to gets some help onto the couch to be a part of the doggy family. I love to be held but will wait my turn until someone picks me up. I run with both big and small dogs. I am filling out because I love to eat. I eat both wet and dry food. I love treats even hard ones. So you see I forget I only have four teeth. I am doing great as far as housebreaking. So if you want a perfect dog pick me. I will make you happy you did. Pixie is doing well. She has become quite the happy dog. She is feeling great and starting to play like a dog. She is playing with other dogs and loves them all. Pixie was found as a stray. She was brought to our groomer. The groomer says she was filthy, matted and looked like she had been neglected for awhile. Her teeth were rotten and her breath smelled. She had a large growth in her ear. She allowed the groomer to bathe her and groom her with out any fuss. We think she must have felt so much better. She has since been to the vet for shots, gotten spayed, had her growth taken out of the ear and had all but three teeth pulled. Her vet bills so far are $1,000. But she does feel like a real dog now. Pixie is very quiet. She will follow her person around but does keep her distance. She has just started to like going back outside and will walk around with out shaking. She loves to be held but you have to catch her first. She tends to be very timid at first and at times will shake when people come near. She will cling to you once she is picked up. She at first had some accidents in the house but is learning that she can go outside and still come back in. Pixie is one very special girl. She needs someone to love on her. She has had a hard life so far but deserves to be spoiled rotten. Once she trust you she will be your very own sidekick. She is great in the car. She is crate trained. What more could you ask for from a dog. The vets think she is about 7 years old. She weighs only 10 pounds. If you cannot adopt her you can make a donation towards her vet bills.
