My Story

I lost my 14 year old affenpinscher (toy terrier) companion in June 2009. I decided that I needed another pal. I am disabled and am home all of the time. I also volunteer as a basic obedience trainer for the local Humane Society. I know how important it is to match rescue animals with the right homes. dogs that are returned are most often listed as incorrigible and seldom find permanent homes. I was referred to little Pippin by Affenpinscher Rescue. It was first thought that he may be an affen mix. I have since found out that he is a Chorkie, (Chihuahua/yorkie mix). He's only 5 lbs, so he is small enough for me to carry. I've house trained him, taught him some basic commands , sit down quiet and dance. He's my best pal. you can always see him sitting on my lap or the back of my chair. /He's also a regular at the local Nursing Home as a Pet therapy dog. He loves to visit and will dance on his back legs for dog treats. He's small enough to sit on laps or beds without disturbing people. they love him and so do I. thank you ARFA for matching us, Harry needs to have someone home with him all of the time and so do I, so we are just right for each other. I can't imagine not having him. He's the best!!!! Denise and Harry Pippin i.e. the PippinatorLOL.
